The 3- & 4-year-old child has mostly moved from parallel play to more collaborative play with others. They are more cognitively aware and more interested in deeper play with longer attention spans. As in all our programs, we provide learning opportunities that are open-ended inspiring curiosity and investigation and observe where this takes the child. The child creates the curriculum. Building social emotional connections is a priority; taking advantage of all opportunities to cultivate empathy, thoughtfulness, humor and resilience. These children are also developing an interest in words, letters and counting, and we meet their needs through a print rich classroom and play.
